When I was a child I watched the anime program Pokemon where you'd follow Ash and Pikachu across their adventures within the Pokemon world. Pokemon started for me watching it on my tv tuning into the anime show, I really fell into the pokemon world head first, with each new character, new pokemon and I was only a child. Pokemon as I was growing up brought out games that let me take pokemon away from the tv onto my console, this let me create my own character in my eyes, creating my very own pokemon team to battle against team rocket.

Pokemon go lets you create a virtual avatar, to join in the multiplayer game but the user is able to create their own identity by roaming the real world; allowing the user not to lose their real self. Unlike more convential games I feel the user isnt able to abuse the virtual avatar as they are able to meet other local users to battle together defeating gyms and raiding together. Pokemon Go pushes the users towards real life social interaction in able to progress through the game, where as the older gameboy pokemon games you could complete the game without any other users.
This was some hardcore gaming as just a sense of release from the real world. To further develop the immersiveness of the world of pokemon they released Pokemon Go! The only recent downfall for multiplayer games is Fortnite.
